OUR LITTLE TEAM

We are not a large organization. We are not a big NGO. We are a couple of artists who really love the work, and believe that we can make a difference in the world.  We've been known to bring friends and corporate clients along for the ride, and we welcome collaboration with anyone who wants to help spread a bit of love and enthusiasm for a better planet.  Many thanks to those who join us along the road, the hosting organizations we are so blessed to work with, and the friends and supporters who help us make it all happen.

My name is Kelly Sullivan. I developed this collaborative way of painting when I produced a hands-on arts festival nearly 20 years ago in San Francisco.  I have been producing FingerSmears™ ever since. Over 100,000 people have stuck their fingers in paint under my direction, from rock stars to movie stars, from Fortune 500 CEO's to kindergarten kids, all of them working in the spirit of collaboration to add their mark and make a statement about the bigger picture.

I am inspired to support what I believe to be the most exciting shift of the 21st century: the strengthening of our adolescent girls and more deeply connected communities around the world, and I am blessed to do it through ART!

I continue to paint, and write, and speak on the power of art, and I believe I will do this for as long as I am lucky enough to be alive on this planet.

If you would like to see more of my work as an artist, please visit

TONI TRU
Filmmaker

Toni’s passion is to tell stories through film that educate, inspire, and illuminate.  She believes in the importance of the arts as inspiration and the importance of supporting organizations that helps girls thrive.  She wants to tell Mighty Fingers – Facing Change’s story as well as the stories of the organizations and girls she will meet on this incredible journey.  It is her wish that through this project girls all around the world will be inspired to tell their own stories using the arts as a vehicle.

Toni was eleven when she first held a video camera.  She started making short claymation videos and documentaries and eventually joined the high school news & media program.  She went on to earn a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin where she was involved in the Women In Engineering Program and their programs focused on introducing engineering to young girls.  She recently decided to take a leap of faith and return to filmmaking after a rewarding career as an application development engineer. She loves traveling and the joy of adventure, wonder, discovery, and connection that comes with global travel.  Recently she was in India where she had the opportunity to document the work of two NGO's. It is her passion for filmmaking, her belief in the importance of nurturing girls, and her enthusiasm for global travel which makes her a valuable member of the Mighty Fingers team.
